
Biological Safety Cabinets
NAF offers comprehensive testing, certification and maintenance of BSC's. The biosafety cabinets identified as certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) comply with the requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 49-2007. The standard applies to Class II Biosafety Cabinetry designed to minimize hazards inherent in work with biosafety level 1, 2, or 3 agents. The standard includes basic requirements for design, construction, and performance that are intended to provide personnel, product, and environmental protection.
NAF technician is a NSF accredited certifier. The accreditation procedure requires certifiers to demonstrate proficiency in the field certification of Class II biosafety cabinets. Selection of certifiers accredited by NSF International gives the end user confidence in the understanding of this complicated process.
